Children of the Fallen Star Campaign Preorder

The purchase options are set up as subscriptions so we can collect S&H from you at the time the box ships. It is not a recurring charge for the full amount of the box.

Your subscription will be set to "paused" after the payment is made. It will be set to "active" when your first box is ready to ship, and we are ready to collect S&H.

Depending on the option you picked, here's how your subscription works.

Option 1
You'll pay the listed price ($248) just once, at the time of checkout.  You won't be charged again until the first box ships. After that, you'll be automatically charged the S&H charge each month until the adventure concludes.


Option 2
You will have a subscription that covers the cost of your six installment payments ($43). The first payment is made when you checkout. (You'll be automatically charged another installment each month for the next 5 months). You won't be charged again until the first box ships. After that, you'll be automatically charged the S&H charge each month until the adventure concludes.


Option 3
You'll pay the listed price ($248) just once, at the time of checkout. You won't be charged again until the complete adventure box (all 12 months of adventure) is ready to ship. At that time, you'll be charged for the S&H cost of the shipment.


Option 4
You will have a subscription that covers the cost of your six installment payments ($43). The first payment is made when you checkout. (You'll be automatically charged another installment each month for the next 5 months). You won't be charged again until the complete adventure box (all 12 months of adventure) is ready to ship. At that time, you'll be charged for the S&H cost of the shipment.

If you choose Option 1 or Option 2, you will receive a monthly box each month, for 12 months. These boxes will begin shipping in early 2023.

If you choose Option 3 or Option 4, you will receive a single box containing all the adventures. This box will likely ship in late 2023 or early 2024.

As with all our subscriptions, your box will only ship after S&H has been successfully collected.

Shipping is collected at the time your box ships in 2023.

Monthly shipments (Option 1 & Option 2) will be charged per box each month. One-time shipments (Option 3 & 4) will be charged once at the time the box ships.

Estimated shipping costs are listed below. Final S&H will be determined at time of shipment.

Note: We ship from the US. Customers will be responsible for any customs or duty charges that may occur.

After you back the campaign, you'll be sent an email that includes a link to create your account, and access the subscription management dashboard.

From the dashboard you'll be able to view the status of your current subscription, payment schedule, and make changes to your subscription.

Children of the Fallen Star is a 5e compatible campaign, designed to take parties from level 10 - 20. It is the second half of the campaign Voyage of the Fallen Star, previously published by Dungeon in a Box. The campaign is composed of 12 chapters, and is told in full over a year of game play.

This campaign arc picks up right after the events of Voyage of the Fallen Star, and continues the adventures of the party as they explore the strange new continent they helped create. Players can either use the same characters from Voyage of the Fallen Star, or create a new party of level 10 characters.

While this campaign incorporates friends and foes introduced in Voyage of the Fallen Star, it can also be run as a stand-alone campaign for high level characters.

Note: Unlike Voyage of the Fallen Star, there is no 13th box. 3D minis and terrain are not included in this campaign unless unlocked as stretch goals.

While Children of the Fallen Star has been written as the sequel to Voyage of the Fallen Star, it will be an exciting adventure for any group of 10th level characters, and key NPCs who appeared in Voyage of the Fallen Star will be detailed again in this adventure.

3D resin minis require significant upfront cost due to expensive molds, tooling, etc. The only way to drive down the cost is to sell a high volume.

Since fewer people make it all the way to the second year of an adventure, 3D minis for Children of the Fallen Star are too expensive for us to offer at this time.

That being said, if we get enough backers we may be able to offer some as stretch goals.

Yes. While the contents of the box will fit each adventure and the supplied adventure booklet, all our products are designed to be used independently for one-off, original, or home-brewed campaigns.

We are able to offer full refunds until August 23rd. 

After that we will not be able to offer refunds. This is because we need to rely on the full amount of the funds raised in order to ensure fulfillment of the campaign.

If you are paying on the installment plan, and you are unable to complete all your payments, we will not be able to refund you for the partial payments made. If you need additional time to pay, please reach out to our customer service team and they'll be happy to help. 

Producing a year-long campaign is an expensive under taking, and requires us to put in a lot of capital in the early stages. Our financial projections are based very closely on the exact number of people who back the campaign. While we will always work with our customers to help them out where possible, we will not be able to offer refunds outside of this time period.
